VisaPro opens office in Hyderabad

Business Standard, Hyderabad (Wednesday, June 25, 2003)

Immigration aspirants to US can now avail of consultancy services from VisaPro Immigration Services, a US based professional agency. The company, which is currently offering services through it's three branches in the US, has launched its Indian operations today. TO make it easier for those who wish to go to the US, we have automated the immigration application processing. Our online service www.visapro.com results in fast, economical and secure visa processing. Venkat Ramineni, the chief executive officer of the company, said.

The one year-old company plans to invest about $4 million on infrastructure at the newly opened Hyderabad office and human resources over a period of two years.

Though its initial focus is on US, the company intends to extend its services for Canada, Australia, US and New Zealand immigrants too in the near future. Commenting on the many dot com ventures which promised to offer online migration services but perished soon, Ramineni said that the difference between dot coms and VisaPro is the latter would use online technology only for application processing while the service delivery would be provided offline. An other difference between the dot coms and our company is we do not depend on the venture capital at all, he added.

The total potential of tourism and immigration business for US is about $ 12.5 billion with over 25 million people visiting the country every year. About 80,000 people are migrating to US from India in a year.

"Our effort is to provide exposure to people here on unexplored segments within the entry visas such as H-1B, J-1 exchange and P-3 visas. Not many people are aware that even those residing in India can get a green card which is available for executives of multi-national companies, people with extraordinary abilities etc," he said. Other areas of focus include M-1 vocational or non-academic students' visas.

The company plans to organize seminars to educate people on immigration issues beginning this year end.

It also plans to provide Visa compliance, another service for corporate clients to ensure that persons visiting US do not violate any law or regulation.

People can avoid embarrassing situations like those happened in Malaysia, Netherlands and Indonesia recently, by availing these services, Ramineni said.
